Barr Milton Watershed Association Coordinator Position Available
The Barr Milton Watershed Association announces the opening of the position of Coordinator for the organization. The job involves administrative, communication and management functions to support the activities of the BMW Association. Applications must be received no later than February 17th, 2010. National Water Quality Monitoring Conference - Denver, CO April 25th - 29th
The National Water Quality Monitoring Council (NWQMC) will be hosting its seventh annual monitoring conference titled "Monitoring from the Summit to Sea". Some themes for the conference will include applying innovative monitoring, assessment, and modeling tools, monitoring integration, new techniques and methods, and strengthening communication and collaboration at various levels. The conference will provide an excellent forum for learning about new findings and innovations in monitoring, as well as a place to exchange information with a variety of practitioners from multiple backgrounds.

Information on Phased TMDLs Laurie Rink has provided a brief summary to illustrate the difference between phased TMDLs and adaptive implementation. The summary is available here. See also the memorandum from the EPA regarding the clarification of "Phased" TMDLs, which provides further detail on Phased TMDLs versus adaptive implementation and TMDL Guidance. An example of a phased pH TMDL is available here, and an adaptive implementation plan available here.
Final Version of Modeling Report Available AECOM has released the finalized version of the modeling report for the Barr Milton watershed. The report titled "Watershed and Lake Modeling for a TMDL Evaluation of Barr Lake and Milton Reservoir," had a second and final revision following a series of comments from stakeholders. The final version of the report is available Here. The comment response form is also available upon request by contacting awconovitz@integral-corp.com.
