 NEW BMW Online Forum Available for Stakeholder Feedback:

The BMW Association is pleased to announce a new online forum for stakeholders to provide feedback on potential water quality management scenarios.  Please visit the forum at: http://bmwa.free-forums.org/index.php and be sure to add your thoughts!


 August 26, 2008 Stakeholder Meeting & 4th Annual BBQ:

The BMW Association recently held their annual stakeholder meeting and modeling workshop #3.  This meeting represents a major milestone in a multi-year project to reduce the current levels of nutrients, algal growth, and pH which are potentially harmful to aquatic life in Barr Lake and Milton Reservoir.  Download the meeting agenda and ENSR Presentation #3 to learn more.  For additional details, please read the modeling background documents (summarized below). 


 Water Quality Model Updates

Our team of modelers are working hard to bring us the best watershed and in-lake models possible!  They have recently linked and calibrated the in-lake and watershed models.  If you missed one of the previous modeling workshops, you can download the presentations and background documents from the technical committee or meetings pages.  Also, be sure to read the ENSR Workshop #3 Summary and Modeling Special Edition Newsletter.


 Reservoir Assessments have been finalized:

AMEC recently released the final versions of the Barr Lake and Milton Reservoir Assessments.  These documents have been reviewed by the BMW Technical Committee, Dr. Bill Lewis, and various other experts.  If you would like to review and add comments of your own (to be included as a preface to the report within the PDF) please send your comments to Darcie (dgrenn@integral-corp.com) no later than August 22, 2008).


 The Barr/Milton Watershed Plan wins GOLD Award from DRCOG:

The BMW Association was honored with a first place award from the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) at the agency’s annual Local Government Innovations Awards Program dinner on April 30.  The award won in the category of Planning with Vision; recognizing the collaborative and innovative efforts of the parties involved in developing the Barr Lake and Milton Reservoir Watershed Management Plan.
